Formula BMW Europe: top 10 slot for David Mengesdorf in Barcelona
David Mengesdorf started his 2009 season today when the first round of the Formula BMW Europe series got underway in Barcelona, in support of this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix. The young German qualified on the fifth row, about half a second adrift from poleman Felipe Nasr.
"I must admit I’m disappointed with this performance as my goal this year is to target a podium finish at each race, commented the Gravity junior. I’ll give it my best shot tomorrow but we first have to sit down and understand how we can improve. Things got off to a good start this morning in free practice as I was 4th in the early part of the session but unfortunately I just couldn’t maintain that position.”
